£15,468.55 raised for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. We are absolutely overwhelmed and proud to confirm that SFD19, which was held at Hillsborough Stadium for the first time ever on 2nd May 2024 has raised a record-breaking amount of £15,468.55 for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. This in turn has seen another record broken for the Sheffield Fans Derby with £100,270.55 raised overall since 2008. We would like to thank everyone who participated, sponsored, attended, bought merchandise, and managed to help us to achieve this unbelievable amount. Thank you! A presentation is due to take place in due course at Hillsborough Stadium, the home of Sheffield Wednesday FC and SFD19 host. Iain Atkins “I would like to thank everyone who got involved in SFD19 and helped us to raise this outstanding amount for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. To see just over 15k raised from a game of football is absolutely amazing and credit to each and every player, spectator, sponsor. We really couldn’t have done it without any of you.” Neil Tilbrook: “Wow! The event, as always was phenomenal, but to smash through the £100,000 barrier is the icing on the cake! Thanks to all that have been part of SFD to date, without each and every one of you this wouldn’t have been possible. See you in 2025 for SFD20!” “I still cannot put into words what it means for us to have also broken through the 100k barrier for money raised for local Charities since 2008. Never did I ever expect us to get through the thousands raised, let alone hundred thousands." Andy Blakeman: "I want to say thank you to everyone that has donated! It’s yet again, an unbelieveable amount that we’ve raised, for such a good cause. For us to hit the big milestone over all, is something that we can all be proud of, and I’m proud to again be apart of this great campaign, that’s doing its part for the community!" Danny Taylor: "It was a pleasure to once again be involved with the Sheffield Fans Derby event, this time to raise funds for Bluebell Wood. This is a wonderful local charity, providing much needed services to the community. It continues to be a privilege to see a famous footballing rivalry, in the city that invented the beautiful game, used for the benefit of local charities." SFD19 Main Sponsors: |
