Stroke Appeal
Following the announcement of Sheffield Hospitals Charity becoming the official partner of the SFD going forwards we are delighted to bring you the next appeal which will be supported by SFD 14.

The Stroke Unit at the Hallamshire Hospital are looking for funding to help support their work and Sheffield Fans Derby are pleased to help raise some of that funding.
Here is a bit of information about the appeal from Sheffield Hospitals Charity.

“We are particularly keen to support stroke patients on wards Q1, Q2 and L Floor at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital as the department unfortunately often gets over-looked. Patients often don’t have family members who visit and can spend months at a time on the unit, which can be incredibly isolating and lonely for them. Charitable funds can be used to purchase specialist cutlery, specialist seating to aid rehabilitation, mobility equipment, new technology in speech and language therapy and funding for local support groups for patients and their families.”

Iain Atkins speaking about the Stroke appeal: “We are always keen to get behind appeals which mean something personally, this year is no different with the stroke unit. From a personal perspective Steve and I have seen the Stroke unit first hand and seen the fantastic work that they do. In March 2016, Steve suffered a stroke which affected him in many ways. We will go into more detail about what we specifically hope to achieve from raising monies for the Stroke Appeal.”

SFD 14 Event Registration Phase One will be launched in the coming days.
