Sheffield Wednesday FC Promoted

The Sheffield Fans Derby would like to pass their congratulations onto Sheffield Wednesday Football Club for gaining promotion back to the Championship after two seasons in League One. The Owls secured automatic promotion on Saturday (5th May) in front of 38,082 supporters with over 37,000 home fans in the stadium, the biggest attendance this season outside the Premier League.

Sheffield United Football Club now enter the Play-Offs and face Stevenage in the first leg of the semi-finals. We hope to be congratulating Sheffield United FC on achieving promotion to the Championship at Wembley on Saturday 26th May 2012. Both Sheffield teams should be in a higher league than League One.
